Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara/ Sunset Game Drive

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or a city hotel, you will be warmly welcomed by our wonderful team, after a short safari briefing, vacate Nairobi for Masai Mara National Reserve via the Great Rift Valley. You will have lunch en route or at your lodge depending on the arrival time. At around 4:00pm, enjoy a sunset game drive in the reserve. go back to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara (Game Drives)

Today You will have a full day in the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives enjoying the Mara and its rolling plains a home to hundreds of plains game together with predators that feed on them. All meals will be taken at your accommodation. For those seeking a unique experience, consider an optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise, which offers a breathtaking aerial view of the savannah and a chance to see wildlife from an entirely different perspective.

Day 3: A visit to Masai Village/ Transfer back to Nairobi/ fly to Entebbe Uganda

Today you will have an early breakfast, and then after go for a Masai village visit. Later, we will proceed back to Nairobi. arrive in the late afternoon and you will be transferred back to the airport or your preferred location in Nairobi marking the end of 3 days Masai Mara Wildlife Safari.

Day 4: Arrival in Uganda at Entebbe Airport

Up on arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our wonderful team and transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe. Please take your time to rest from your flight, walk around the hotel to familiarize yourself with the new environment. And later if time allows visit the Botanical Gardens on the showers of the largest lake in Africa, Lake Victoria. Go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Today after having breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and vacate Entebbe to Kibale National Park with an optional short Kampala City Tour on the way. En route You will have lunch and continue to our final destination which is Kibale National Park, on arrival check in the lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park

After morning breakfast, wake up early have breakfast and for chimps trekking around Kanyanchu. The time for chimps trekking is not predictable because chimps be moving around but sometimes it may take you half a day. There are 13 other primate species that live in Kibale forests which include the golden monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys and pottos and you are likely to meet some of them during chimps trekking. Other animals you may expect to meet today include forest elephants, giant forest hogs. After trekking go back to the lodge for refreshment, spend the late afternoon relaxing at the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today, you will have breakfast, pack your bags and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, upon arrival in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will check in a Lodge, enjoy the beautiful views of the park, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 8: Mountain Gorillas Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today you will have an early breakfast and around 7 am you will be picked by your driver guide and head to the Mountain Gorillas Trekking starting point, meet the ranger guides and other visitors whom you will go together for the Mountain Gorillas Trekking, Have a briefing about the Mountain Gorillas family you are going to visit, how you should behave with them and start trekking at around 8am which takes approximately 3-6 hours, but it may take longer depending on how the gorillas are moving, after you have found the Mountain Gorillas you will spend 1 full hour with them, learning more about them and taking pictures (remember to mute your devices and switching off the flashlights). after this you will head back to the starting point.

your driver guide will be waiting for you at the starting point and will take you to back to the Lodge for Lunch and Refreshments and later in the afternoon, (Optional) you may go for Batwa community Experience where you will visit the Batwa villages around Bwindi, learn about their cultures, their ways of living and also experience their traditional dances. Later on, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer Back to Entebbe Airport for Departure Flight

Today, after breakfast, you will pack your bags, say goodbye to Bwindi and transfer back to Entebbe Airport for the departure flight, marking the end of 9 days Kenya’s Masai Mara Great Migration and Uganda’s Primates Trekking
