DAY 1: ARRIVE KILIMANJARO AIRPORT/ TRANSFER TO ARUSHA

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our wonderful team, after a short safari briefing, you will be transferred to you lodge in Arusha, relax at your lodge and familiarize yourself with the new environment

Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park/ Game Drive

After breakfast, you will vacate Arusha and go for a safari in Tarangire National Park. In this park elephants are the main attraction. Up to 3,000 roam the park during the peak months between June and November. It’s also one of Tanzania’s finest bird watching destinations, as there are almost 500 bird species in this park. Plus, during the migratory season of July to October, you can expect to see plains game like wildebeests, antelope, and zebras. You’ll arrive at the park in time for lunch and later embark on an afternoon game drive to view the abundant wildlife. And later after the sunset come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Eyasi/ Tribe Experience

After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, come back to the lodge for lunch, check out the lodge and transfer a short way west to beautiful Lake Eyasi. This alkaline lake found in the Rift Valley and is surrounded by walls of purple lava, also the homeland to one of the last remaining communities of hunter-gatherers on the continent, the indigenous Hadzabe people who have been living here for the last 10,000 years.

Today you will have an opportunity for a cultural exchange with these tribespeople and to learn about their rich history, you will also have the opportunity to meet the semi-nomadic pastoralists, primarily herding cattle, sheep, and goats, which are central to their culture and livelihood the Datoga people also known as the Barabaig, who also reside in the Lake Eyasi region, learn about their unique way of life. Later on, go back to the lodge for the overnight.

Day 4: Lake Eyasi/ Mto Wa Mbu/ Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Today you will go on an early hunt with the Hadzabe to see up-close how they stalk wild game and forage for items like roots and honey, experience their traditional dances. After this, return to the lodge for breakfast, then transfer to Mto Wa Mbu. This farming community of around 18,000 people is unique in that it’s one of the only places where all of Tanzania’s some 120 tribes live side by side.

Today you will also have a cultural tour where you will be able to meet members of the Mbugwe, Iraqw, Gorowa, Irangi, Chagga, and Maasai tribes. visit the homes of working families who produce everything from homemade banana beer to palm oil. You can also visit the nearby Papyrus Lake to meet the Rangi people, who scavenge for items in the lake to make baskets and mats.

Then after transfer to Serengeti National Park, stopping for a picnic lunch, en route, You might like to visit the World Heritage Site of Olduvai Gorge where there’s a museum of the fossils of the earliest known human remains. You continue with a game-viewing drive as you start arriving in the central Serengeti, check in your safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: On Safari in Serengeti

A full day in the Serengeti National Park is an immersive journey into one of Africa’s most iconic wildernesses, where the rhythm of life unfolds in its raw and captivating form, this is a day to connect with the wild, where every turn of the game track offers the chance to create unforgettable memories in one of the world’s most celebrated landscapes. You will have an option of either having a picnic lunch eaten in the savannah or to have Lunch served back at the lodge, whether you’re witnessing a pride of lions on the hunt, marvelling at the acrobatics of leaping gazelles, or soaking in the serenity of a hidden kopje, a full day here is a testament to nature’s splendour and resilience, you will end the day with a sunset game drive and go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti hosts the annual Great Migration which occurs around River crossing season (July – September) so, if you are travelling this time, you will be able to Witness one of nature’s most dramatic spectacles as wildebeests and zebras risk their lives to cross the crocodile-infested Mara River

Day 6: Sunrise Hot Air Ballon in Serengeti/ transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today you will check out of your lodge, start a day with an early morning sunrise hot air ballon, which offers a breathtaking aerial view of the savannah and a chance to see wildlife from an entirely different perspective, followed by bush breakfast, after this, you will travel south to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa the (Ngorongoro Conservation Area). the world’s largest volcanic caldera which covers 1,968 feet (600 m) in depth and 100 sq miles (260 sq km). the crater is one of the few places in East Africa where visitors are sure to see black rhinos, on arrival you will check in your lodge, enjoy the relaxed late afternoon at the lodge

Day 7: On Safari in Ngorongoro/ Transfer to Arusha/ Departure

Today we will drive down the crater an explore the world’s the famous Ngorongoro Crater teeming with wildlife, with high chances of encountering the big five including: lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos and a year-round haven for zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes as you descend into the vast caldera. Have a picnic lunch and visit the nearby Maasai village, Interact with the Maasai community and have an insight into their cultures and traditions. Then transfer to Arusha for the last Shopping and after head to the airport for your departure flight or to your preferred location in Arusha marking the end of 7 days Tanzania Northern Circuit Safari.
