Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park/ Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Early morning you will have breakfast and you will be picked by our driver/guide from your lodge/hotel. And then start heading to Murchison Falls National Park, en route you will stop to visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, and have lunch in Masindi town. After lunch you continue with our journey to Murchison falls national park on arrival in the park, you will check in your lodge inside the park, and rest from a long drive.
Day 2: On Safari in Murchison falls National Park/ Boat Cruise in Victoria Nile
Early morning breakfast is served at around 6:30am and you set off for the game drive through the savanna, along Lake Albert delta, when seeing abundant wildlife as you move slowly in the park as the sun rise. Expect to see these animals like lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes, humorous appearing warthogs. Some of the birds are shoebill stork, the goliath heron- the largest heron in the world- and pairs of elegant grey crowned cranes- Uganda’s national bird. Then break off for lunch at the lodge.
After lunch you will go for a sunset boat cruise in Victoria Nile, moving slowly along the river bank viewing animals like crocodiles, an abundance of hippos, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes, plenty of birds like the fish eagle and stork among others.
You will visit top of Murchison falls where the Nile is forced through a narrow gap in the rock. You will view the powerful flow of the falls and the permanent rainbow formed by the water falls. Don’t miss seeing the herds of elephants cooling off, crocodiles enjoying an evening sunshine and hippopotamus frolicking in the water and then back to the lodge for dinner and refreshment.
Day 3: Morning Safari game drive/ Transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe
Very early in the morning have breakfast from the lodge and check out. And go for another morning sunrise game drive, later on, you will exit the park and start driving back to Kampala en route you will stop in Masindi town for lunch and then continue our journey to Kampala, up on arrival in Kampala if its still early, you will have a guided city tour around Kamapala city, and then your guide will drop you at Entebbe Airport for departure flight, or at your preferred location in Kampala city or Entebbe, marking the end of 3 daya Murchison National park safari.
